The aim of Day Habilitation Programs is to increase an individual’s independence and ability to assume adult social roles through developmental skills training and clinical supports.

Berkshire County Arc operates three Day Habilitation programs. Our programs are located in Dalton, Pittsfield and Lee, Massachusetts. We support more than 150 individuals at the three locations.

Annually, we work with each individual to create a Day Habilitation Service Plan (DHSP). This plan is an integrated individual support plan which consists of coordinated, goal oriented services for every person we support. Our qualified and licensed therapeutic staff (which includes a Physical Therapist, an Occupational Therapist and Speech and Language Pathologists) may make specific recommendations to address each person’s needs. Each person receives nursing support as well.

Berkshire County Arc’s Autism Outreach Services Program offers insurance reimbursed home‐-based services for children and adults diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The AOS Program utilizes the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in the delivery of services. ABA is the science of behavior change. Research indicates ABA is the most effective way to increase skill acquisition and promote learning.
